Sweet too bad I don’t plan on importing this game at all since Namco will localize it. I hope in the future you can collaborate for Nitroplus Blasterz Heroines Infinite Duel I will import that game for sure once consoles are announced.

      It’s obviously gonna be PS3

      • Carlos Luis Ayala

Mostlikely although I would prefer a PS4 version.

Probably after the vanilla one releases.

          • Carlos Luis Ayala

It might be sooner than you think seeing as how J stars is getting a PS4 version.

            • Bobby Jennings/Godless

              Yeah, a year later though.

              • Carlos Luis Ayala

Yeah but a year ago the ps4 had just come out now it’s the best selling console ever.

                • Bobby Jennings/Godless

True. I just wonder who will handle the porting for Nitroplus. I mean it doesn’t even have a Arcade release date so we won’t be seeing it for a while.

I suspect the same length of time like the Dengeki game

                    • Bobby Jennings/Godless

Maybe as long as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. About a year.

Not in Japan sadly. It IS selling though.

So wait translate as in english patches or translate as in english subbed walkthroughs?

    • TheGameTagerZ

Progression: Menus, Controls and other things needed to progress the game. Walkthrough translations are too time consuming.

      • Reki Honoo

So just to clear this up, would you be posting the stuff on this site, or would it be put into the imports, like a fan translation would?

        • Just like how we usually translate menus and stuff, and post it in an article.

  • Kikoku

“We’re working with Play-Asia.com to translate games that may not be localized for a long time (or never) and cover portions that are needed in order to progress.”
Would Tales of Vespira for PS3 be Included in this?

  • Whatchadointherebro

Aren’t you gonna covering other anime games news besides what you have now SG? You know, like Persona 5, Basara 4: Sumeragi, Samurai Warriors -II, etc. Those are anime games too right???

    • TheGameTagerZ

Not on this website. Maybe on our personal channels. We’re aiming for menus at least and controls because it’s not easy to do a project as big as jstars for other games.

  • Romored

No offence, but I find this service a little pointless.
It’s something a lot of people have already been doing for years on websites like GameFAQs and similar. It would be another thing if they were complete translations (if not actual localizations, but that would be too much).
And why doing this for Zestiria? The game will be localized soon, there’s no need to make people buy it in Japanese just for the sake of “using the discount”.

    • TheGameTagerZ

Well Gamefaqs hardly pulls through with translations. We were the only ones to take on jstars and a few other titles. Also not everyone is willing to wait for the localization of Tales so that’s why they import. I know a good chunk of people who already imported this game. On top of that we usually get translation work done right away. We don’t have to translate the whole game to make it not pointless. As long as the translations help you progress the game that’s all that matters.

Do you have to do certain parallel missions for the patrol guys to appear or can you do any of them? Also, if I already got my first dragon ball from mission two for example, could I play mission two a second time and still get a dragon ball or do I have to do a differentmission?

        • TheGameTagerZ

You couldn’t ask us in the Dragon Ball article? In any case here is the fastest way to get them. If you don’t see a patrol person after you beat these guys then reset the mission.

Thanks, sorry I didn’t think it mattered. Sorry.

    • Adding to what TheGameTagerZ said, you’d be surprised to see just how many people are impatient when it comes to playing their favourite title.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS was released on September 13th in Japan, with the english version set just 3 weeks later. Yet on the 13th my YouTube inbox was flooded with messages like “Are you gonna translate the smash bros menus?” or “Hey can look at this screenshot and tell me which one is training mode?”

I wouldn’t advise looking at the initial list and deeming this service useless, because with games like smash bros, you don’t need a full story translation. People can enjoy the game with a simple menu translation. Play-Asia comes into play by offering ease-of-access to these translations. Even if you weren’t a big importer, wouldn’t you agree that getting menu translations to an import title the moment you checkout would be a lot more convenient than searching the web for translations that may or may not be there?

      • Nightstar1994

Don’t lie, YouTube has no Inbox anymore 😛

        • lol you just go to someone’s channel, click on “about”, and then “send message” is at the bottom. But I guess it’s called “messages” rather than inbox now, so you’re still right.

  • Bdock3601

So, other than translations, does this partnership have any implications for this site?

    • Future import discounts & possible giveaways.

      • Bdock3601

        Ah, interesting

  • Kyuuki-san

    Congrats on the collaboration guys!

  • AzIz

Congrats , wish you the best and thanks for you rad work 🙂
