    something about the way they worded that and revealed wall running was back in a short blurb makes me think they might be revealing more Three Dimensional stages altogether… I’m thinking more like the trees in the Chuunin Exam Stage where they were obstacles, or raised platforms that you can jump on for an advantage. Something beyond a flat plain.

    Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.

        Id did not, and can’t see it right now. That ight be cool, especially if they tied it into making more 3D interactive stages like I said before (destroying a pillar).

        That would require rebuilding a lot of old stages though :/

          The swirl in the middle shows some ground damage but I may be looking too into it honestly. Maybe V-Jump will clear it up.

            Though question remains if it’s cosmetic or gameplay affecting.

            Seeing as it’s a spiral pattern, It’s possible it could be cause by Naruto’s Air Rasengan.

            theres a linear crater and a swirl, in the first gameplay fire made dust craters and blades made slashes to the ground, maybe the destruction will be based n the type of attack, the swirl being the after effect of a rasengan.

            There is also the Crack in the ground leading up to it, reminds me of how sasuke would drag his chidori, possible jutsu clash hint? Who knows we’ll find out

        i have, it looks great. i’ve only seen 2 examples now but both look custom to the stage, its very impressive. dimps could learn a thing or 2.

            why? cc2 is great with theatrical graphics, and is using them to create great destruction for a naruto game. the crack is probably leftover from a chidori or something hitting the ground.

      i think they’ll just add larger stages and allow players to explore them more during battle to make it more like the series, the stages were already made but were always hindered by the invisible walls.

        I doubt it, remaking all the old stages would be a lot of work I can’t see them doing. Would be nice though.

  • This is great. Hopefully they bring back everything that made Storm 1 amazing.
    Jutsu Clashes
    Longer Ultimates (which, I personally don’t mind the shorter ones, but the longer ones were pretty beast)
    Ultimate impact (the super punch that would often lead into a wall battle transition)
    A large world to free roam. Previously, this has only been done with the Hidden Leaf Village, but it would be cool to free roam the entire ninja world

      I think that new revolution ultimates had the right balance of grandiose style with succinct execution

      I think clashes should definitely stay out. Half of the clashes made no sense. Like how is a rasengan going to clash with a palm rotation? It also slowed down the pace of the game for random button pressing. No.

      Storm 3 ultimates were perfect, they were the perfect length and did the perfect amount of damage, Revolution does a tiny bit of damage.

      The punch leading to the wall would suck and ruin flow. Free-roam would be fantastic. Even better if it was Xenoverse style and you could meet up with friends and go to shops, fight battles, etc.

      I hope they understand adding variety to the game is great but taking steps backward like adding in things that would generally be a bad idea is just never good.

        As far as clashes goes, I don’t want them for balance reasons but I’d like it if they improved the animation for when two jutsu bounce off of each other

          That would be good as an automatic thing. I understand what you mean like how they both are pushed back when rush-type jutsus meet. It would be cool if they fixed the animation, but I just don’t want the game to freeze just so I can do button inputs for no damn reason. I’d rather take the jutsu than do something like that. Another issue with it is people could just avoid damage all the time by spam clashing instead of having to either avoid the attack, block, or take the damage head-on. Bad idea.

      I think the ultimate should stay the same and the ultimate impact in storm one disrupted battle flow, i love the feature but they should have a smoother transition into it and not change the camera angle.

  • This is years of work coming together to make the true Ultimate Storm game. Finally the true Naruto experience will be here on October 2015 in celebration of Naruto Uzumaki’s birth month.

      i would understand your comment if this were revolution but the new characters, story, battle damage system, combat system,etc. make this game at least worth checking out. we have to remember this is still the storm series so they wont change the whole combat system or movesets of every character but they can add more combo depth and anime like theatricality (as well as shortening the cancel system) to make the combat better, as well add new moves for characters that grew in the series. I have confidence this game will be the best of the storm series and will be well worth the standard price (i see the bt3 of Naruto). even if it isn’t after this well get an entirely new Naruto game to look forward to.

      This got to be free battle because: 1st it’s not Final Valley, 2nd Naruto and Sasuke never battle in Konoha in Shippuuden

    I’ve lost count of how many years I have been asking for this to happen. I still won’t believe that it will truly live up to the feeling of a real Naruto fight until I see it in action though. At the very least, I’m sure this will be a huge step in the right direction. I am hopeful and cautiously optimistic.

    I’m really hoping they take there time and make a real counter system. An attack not a guard brake. And not have split battle types but all in one again. What I’m saying is I’d like it to be like storm 3 yet have a counter attack and new mechanics to make the game more fast pace & anime like.

    Thoughts?

      I think the counter just needs to be shortened, game play is too free to have a truly in depth counter system but i do agree that the game play itself should be faster.

      Well I hope they don’t do it the same as storm 1, it was to restrictive back then, so im looking forward to see how they improved it. Also its in a little bubble in the bottom so its not like they are marketing it as the main feature, im glad its returning.

  • I see the swirl and it looks like Naruto doing a Rasengan down into the ground.. then whats that crack/line leading up to it? I was thinking Jutsu Clashes and that was Sasuke’s Chidori.. but why would the swirl be downwards and shaped that way??
    This is what I came up with.. just a coincidence OR while people are on the ground and another is in the air and both do the jutsu and the jutsu collide.. but that still doesn’t feel like the right answer nor does it look like it… it might be because Naruto could have won the clash then smash the Rasengan onto Sasuke.
    Maybe QTE in the regular 1v1?? That’d be cool but.. I hope not.

    Seems like SI just put out the article about Wall running making a return. They tried to play it smart and wait because of they had changed it the same day then it would have proved that they copy Shonen Gamez.
