No, scans have been showing the New 3DS for all games lately.

After the New 3DS was announced they swtiched from a 3DS render to a New 3DS render.

Just some of those subtle “buy the latest one” kind of thing.

This game is gonna be dope since all arc system work games are good and complex

  • Buru

It gonna hurt me if this game comes to US/UK but Super Grand Battle X doesn’t

  • Something as awesome as this will never leave Japan. Heck there problem with DB Heroes not leaving Japan can easily be solved with instead of cards, they use Amiibo figurines of the avatars from Heroes that can save your preferred characters so you can take them to fight other players consoles. Or better yet a fighting game that uses Heroes characters in a Xenoverse like gameplay.

The reason why the game isn’t out in the west is because we’re critical of card games. People would complain that everyone has the same animations and so on.

The reason why there are so many characters is because they don’t have to use many animations like I said earlier. Making it into a fighter would mean that we wouldn’t get even half of this roster.

      • Like I said “USE AMIIBO’s” instead of cards. Use the WII U console update the game instead of taking turns to a fighting game. Have DLC for upcoming new missions and new AMIIBO’s for updated AVATARS.

        • TheGameTagerZ

          I know what you said.

Doesn’t change the fact the game is a card game. On top of that realistically, people wont pay to buy DBZ like Amiibos especially if you knew how many cards the series has you’d never be able to buy them all without spending thousands of dollars.

There are only Nintendo character Amiibos, the only crossover we got was for the Nintendo costumes in One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X.

You’re looking at this a little backwards. To make this a fighter they have to give everyone animations that weren’t copy and pasted over from the three battle types. Along with other things. Sure they can use the assets from the Arcade game, but don’t expect a DLC Amiibo/free update fest because it’s just not realistic.

          • You really need to broaden your views. I know you probably hate the WII U. But the true reason 3rd parties don’t want to make WII U games is because they don’t want to make quality games for the WII U. Heck Project Cars was a game that the fans voted that they WANT IT FOR THE WII U. Those guys who create games for systems want an easy path went it comes to ports. But Nintendo always ask the third parties for ORIGINAL High quality games. But as you know the third party companies don’t want to “waste” their times to make it happen. So please don’t say that Amiibo’s are to replace cards. What the Amiibo’s would be for the AVATARS only that can save your team. While you think the Amiibo thing is something only Nintendo can make great, it can be used for other things as well.

i think your missing the point hes trying to make…its a development thing..amiibos can replace cards but the amount of characters in the game is ridiculous if u try to make it into ambiibos.then comes the animation for each character if u want it to b a fighter….the best way to port this is a hand held and then they have to research the american market..which is full of critical spoiled fanbase…ive only worked with indie games for wii u and its more complicated than you think…and yes 3rd party people r dicks but its still a business.your insight of the industry is limited but general knowledge..be in the industry and ull c more

The assumption that I hate the Wii U is a terrible one (especially since I proudly own one and have several games for it).

This just sounds like a bunch of rambling for misunderstanding what I said earlier. In any case Dragon Ball Heroes in general is something that people want because it’s Japan only. I have both 3DS games it’s fun for what it is but if it were to come here it would be ripped apart for the lazy story telling, same 3 types of animations for everyone across the board and its one button system.

What I’m getting at is that there are over 200 characters by now (I’m probably really underestimating this number too) so giving them animations for every character and making them unique isn’t really realistic with licensed games that have to be dished out every 1-2 years.

I think the game would have okay odds of doing well… if they marketed it right (not too hard) and maybe pushed the arcade card game in the west (very hard). I don’t know how Harukanaru Densetsu (yep a localised DBZ card game) did, but I get the feeling that they just need to draw people’s attention to the roster and card strategy.

  • To bad BNG won’t post XBONE numbers for Xenoverse. This is going to be worse for that OTHER game that a “JRPG” is going to put on XBONE. I feel that the cost for making a WII U port of that “JRPG” would be less then the loss they will receive from the XBOXONE version of that “JRPG”.

    • older manga reader

there rnt any numbers to post yet..there is almost no xbox in japan..ull have to wait for the international numbers which wont b out till like the next week or 2

    • British_Otaku

It will never chart for them to share numbers in Japan while in the west, they will neglect to share anything but collective worldwide sales.

Would the Wii U one version do better in Japan? Definitely. Would it do better in the west? Possibly. However, it would cost more for them to develop it than to make a port of the PS3/Xbox 360 properly I assume… It sounds lazy, but that’s just how it is.

  • Gamejtv

This looks promising. Shame, like with Super Grand Battle X, it won’t be coming here. Lets have a moment of silence for this unfortunate tragedy.

  • Bitrip

I don’t think I can go back to 2D DBZ games after Xenoverse. Budokai Tenkaichi already spoiled me before…

  • British_Otaku

Still sticking with the “Super” Extreme Butoden name even though the Kana makes it clear that is Extreme Butoden. I’m not that bugged, but I will be annoyed in a few years time if we get an actual “Super Extreme Butoden” game and I find numerous articles using the same name for a game years older.

    • TheGameTagerZ

Super is next to the title name. I mean sure it can be ignored but it’s still there.

      • British_Otaku

Fair enough, I’ll roll with the kana and shorter name for now.

(Weird that they didn’t translate the Super kanji into kana I guess or add it into the URL, most games don’t miss a step)

  • P Gilz

Oh! So this game is for the “New Nintendo 3DS”.

    • TheGameTagerZ

No, that’s just their way of saying “play it on the latest system” it works on the regular 3DS’

      • P Gilz

        Oh. Still cool though.
