    Nice watermark.

    • TheGameTagerZ

We never watermark anything we didn’t work on, but something like this will be easily shared around the web so this is our first time doing something like this.

      • shaddrag

I understand why you did it, but I feel it’s giving in to the dark side a bit.

        • TheGameTagerZ

Regardless how it was seen, it’s pretty much a one time thing.

    • This is different from watermarking something that’s freely and openly available on the web. We credit ourselves on scans, and anything else that we do, however this was something special that we picked up, that we knew nobody else would have up (at least not for a while)

The watermark is only there so that other sites don’t just take it and pass it off like they took the time out to Scan the images, and fix them and make it look pretty for the fans. We didn’t just throw the images into photoshop and throw a watermark on them, there was some editing done to make sure it all looks the way you and other readers wants it to.

Obviously we do our best to not watermark most things, since it’s against what we believe in, but this was a special case where we felt like the only justifiable thing to do was watermark it slightly due to the nature of the images themselves.

      • shaddrag

I did say I understand, but again, one thing leads to another.

How many “special” things are going to come around in the time to come? How long will it take before you forget what you initially believed in and started this site for?

        I’m just saiyan.

        • TheGameTagerZ

You’re really overreacting honestly. If you really understood you would have left it alone after our explanation. Especially Fabian’s.

Regardless of what we do, we don’t post raws, we post translations and since we do translate them we put our credits. One could say credits is a way of watermarking, but we really don’t see it that way.

In this case as Fabian said, we scanned them ourselves and the scans had to be fixed out on photoshop like lining it up merging two images together neatly. It wasn’t as simple as slapping a mark and moving on. It took us roughly 30 minutes to get these scans put out neatly as you saw them. Had we posted as is then you wouldn’t have a fun time reading this.

So again I’ll say this, it’s not a big deal as it only happened once since we started this website. We haven’t watermarked press images, or boxart, or manga pages because that’s not what we do. We bought this book at around $40. So sorry if you expected us to just post as is for others to say they uploaded it.

          • shaddrag

I didn’t say that, and I did leave it alone until I got an essay from another mod, how do you expect me to react? Ignore the reply? Keep saying “I understand” like some kinda servant?

  • AnimeRemix

Fantastic interview. Was really great to read. Thanks for translating it!

    • TheGameTagerZ

We didn’t it was already translated. The book is in English as well.

      • AnimeRemix

Oh, you didn’t? Huh… I’m actually a bit surprise to know that the book itself was in English (I just assumed it was only in Japanese, so yeah.)

        Thanks for the explanation!

  • Wow. This was indeed something really interesting to read. Thanks a lot for the high quality content.

  • Buru

T’was actually good & had some very interesting statements.

  • Skorm94

Is this a seperate thing or is the interview in a book together with other stuff?

    • TheGameTagerZ

      It’s in the Michi book.

      • Skorm94

Alright might see if I can get my hands on it somewhere, also thanks for the great content (as always).

      • Nerio Montero

Thanks for the translation of that book. Also, are you going to translate the interview of Oda and Kishimoto from Hiden: Sho no Sho (which have another interview between both mangakas)?

        • TheGameTagerZ

We didn’t translate the book. The book is already in English, but you still have to buy it from Japan. As for that book we won’t be going through that sorry.

Since we can barely pay our translators, we can’t do as much as we want to do. That’s why we actively push our Play-Asia and donation links because it’s the only way we can work on projects.
