Wow they shat on Boruto’s skill set.

In the movie Sarada doesn’t know Katon, or Raiton.

In the Movie Boruto uses Wind Release, and Sasuke taught him Itachi’s style shuriken jutsu.

But they gave it all to Sarada… I mean it’s cool, but it looks like they picked their favorites…

And no Boruto doesn’t have or at least ever used wind style, where did that come from?

  I watched the movie a few days ago, Sasuke said Boruto applied the wind nature to his Rasengan, which is why he’s able to throw it and why it vanishes.
  
  I remember reading a summary here and it didn’t show case that, either way, I also asked people who have seen the movie and they also agreed. They are on tumblr, I have the links to their movie tickets (if you wanted proof of validation), and I took screen shots haha.
  
  Also I believe the novel of the movie script said something similar.
  
  But I saw this myself, I just don’t want you thinking I can’t prove it since anyone can say “I saw the movie, or I saw this” blah blah.

    It’s like saying Naruto doesn’t have the rasengan anymore because he didn’t use it in gaiden or the movie (besides the final attack with Boruto). Gaiden was family issues even Sasuke and Naruto didn’t fight much forget Sarada. In the movie no one expect Boruto did much since the movie is about him and his issues. Sarada didn’t have time to showcase anything since her only fight was a one shot. The game may not be canon but they follow guidelines they wouldn’t give Sarada fire and lighting if she can’t use it, plus her shuriken skills are canon (seen in gaiden/movie) even Boruto told Sasuke that teaching him shuriken skills will be useless because Uchihas like Sarada can only manage to perfect it (and thats literally what he learnt from Sasuke, nothing else) and fire style was a jutsu she was bound to get and use no matter what, she’s an Uchiha and every member has it. And i also watched the movie lol, the only reason why Boruto was able to throw the rasengan was due to its SIZE not because it has wind. Wind based rasengan is called fuuton rasenshuriken lmao
    
    Also the novel isn’t canon only the movie is, but i am mad that they gave Sarada two elements in the game while they gave Boruto none

      Naruto has shown the Rasengan in canonical pieces of the manga, and movie. Sarada has not shown any Raiton or Katon abilities, at all.
      
      That’s exactly the point, she didn’t show anything except Advanced Chakra Control, and wire usage, meaning she doesn’t have the abilities. Point blank. It’s not uncommon for Kishimoto to treat his female characters quite bland, most of the new generation are carbon copies via abilities, she is no different.
      
      Yes they would, and they did. The proof that she has Fire and Lightning in the video games concur’s that point all too well. It’s not the first time they have done this, with characters who aren’t fully developed, they like to bring new things onto the table. They wanted to add a diverse skill set onto her character, because unlike Boruto, she didn’t have anything from her father, while Boruto had a Gentle Fist style of Taijutsu.
      
      Nope. Boruto applies wind to his Rasengan, it’s not Rasen Shuriken, it’s own his unique version of the Rasengan. I’d advise not to question someone who has seen the movie, I also have proof of this matter if you were interested. He also makes a Full sized Rasengan too when he tells Sarada he will become a shinobi like her father, right after they all jump in the sky together to save Konohamaru from the Panda.
      
      I doubt that was added into the game as well.
      
      Lastly I forgot to add, no, Sarada has no Shuriken abilities like Itachi/Sasuke/Boruto. In the Gaiden, she threw some “KUNAI” at Shin, but that wasn’t SHURIKEN JUTSU. That’s just normal Kunai throwing that any basic shinobi can do, and in the movie, she still doesn’t portray anything on the same level of Boruto when it comes to shuriken throwing. She really doesn’t do anything amazing outside of normal CES and wire usage

      Being able to use the Sharingan doesn’t grant her any abilities, mind you the second tomoe allows her to copy ninjutsu/taijutsu/movements, the first tomoe only allows her to predict movements to an extent.

That part definitely tripped me up. I never know when to go with pure romanization, direct translation or direct + editing. Ex: kage bunshin no jutsu vs shadow clone art vs shadow clone technique. It’s easy with established terms like rasengan but I’m on my own for these new moves.

In any case the move is called, 新鋭・雷迅螺旋丸 = Shinei: Raijin Rasengan. Shinei is defined as, “young and energetic, up-and-coming, new and excellent, newly produced, up-and-comer”. Either way it’s kind of a lame name IMO.

  The best way is to cater to your audience. If a lot of them read the manga from fan translators or watch the anime with fan translators chances are they will learn the Japanese name; on the other hand, people who watch the anime or read the manga in English only will not understand the Japanese move so write it in English is catering it towards them.
  Yeah the move is kinda weird, them using 新鋭 to show that they`re the new generation as well as saying this is their own creation in one word is kinda cool, but most Naruto attack names are pretty meh lol.

        Apparently in the novel Boruto can use those elements by himself (not sure if canon or not). He placed his own techniques into the scrolls, and used them faster/without chakra.

It’s the novelization of the movie script written by the co-writer of the movie. Obviously the lines in the movie would be on the same page, wouldn’t it?

        The fact is, in the Movie, and the Gaiden, Sarada is a complete Sakura clone. Yet in the games, she isn’t. It’s obvious they aren’t using Kishimoto’s example which is canon … and what makes it worse they even gave her some of Boruto’s technique. Sasuke taught Itachi’s shuriken jutsu to BORUTO in the movie, not Sarada. I mean c’mon?

        Katon was obvious she was going to get it, and its 100% canon that shes a expert at using shurikens and kunai’s (Boruto said that and she demonstrated it during gaiden against her first counter with shin) her combining lighting with her shuriken skills is awesome and new, you’re making seem like they gave her MS level moveset… chill
        
        I’m just pissed that they always put Uchihas over anyone else, Rinnegan Sasuke gets an entire new ultimate while RSM Naruto gets the same one, this is the same with Boruto who gets no element and one jutsu

        Well I can’t lie to you, it’s obvious she’s an Uchiha so her having Katon is possible. However when it comes to the Manga and the Movie, they didn’t let her train for it, nor did Sasuke teach it to her.
        
        I think that’s the main problem with Sarada is that she never had a true teacher, outside of Sakura who doesn’t have any elemental natures to use herself (since she never learned any).
        I’ve read the Naruto Gaiden, and I have watched the Boruto: Naruto the Movie in Japan. She doesn’t display any Shuriken Jutsu on the same level as Itachi/Sasuke or Boruto. She does threw “KUNAI” at Shin in Chapter 3 or 4 of the Gaiden, but that isn’t Shuirken Jutsu.
        
        I am chill, I just think it’s unfair they removed Boruto’s skillset from the movie, when Sasuke taught him these techniques, and they even give her the elements that Boruto has in the canon. In the movie in Hokage’s office, Boruto stated that he can use Lightning, Wind, and Water. He cheated of course, but the abilities he were stated to have were all agreed upon with Naruto stating “well he is …talented”. This was before he started using the device leading the movie goer to accept that he can do these on his own.

        He fights a lot like kid Naruto with the clones and with Gentle Fist. I think that is exactly how he would fight really. Hinata would probably train with him more than Naruto would.

        That’s not really true, in battle Boruto is a more strategic. He doesn’t use clones to spam, but in his match against Shikidai he used clones to jump off from so that he wouldn’t get tagged with the Shadow Possession jutsu. Before that, he used the shadow clones to match his opponents numbers because it was 1 vs 3 (later they used the shadow clone jutsu making it 9 vs 3).
        
        Boruto’s skill set in the Canon (along with the movie) involve:
        
        Shadow Clone – Maximum 3:4 ratio
        Gentle Fist – Limited because of no Byakugan
        Itachi’s Shuriken Jutsu – Taught by Sasuke
        Normal Rasengan – He mastered it at the very end of the movie since he finally took training seriously. Before that he was making a really small looking Rasegan.
        Vanishing Rasengan – His own unique version of a wind release applied Rasengan.
        
        Meanwhile Sarada in the movie/Gaiden only uses
        
        Chakra Enhanced Strength – Taught by her mother
        Wire control – Self taught most likely
        
        And then they give her the entire world with that skill set, and even Boruto’s only technique which Sasuke taught him?

        Because Himawari has more of the Hyuga genetics then Boruto. Himawari was originally supposed to have eyes like the Hyuga’s but Kishi made a mistake. Kishi wrote that somewhere.

yeah they seem to severely favor Uchihas this time, given all of Sasukes awesome movesets and all of Narutos beeing really sub-par, if not blankly copy-pasted from Storm 3

  In the Boruto movie, Boruto tells Sasuke that “Everyone knows shuriken jutsu is Sarada’s specialty.” He was complaining about having to learn the technique so he mentioned Sarada. So she probably just learned it on her own. She’s supposed to be a hard worker.

        It was a Boruto movie about his development and story. Sarada never really had much fighting shown because she finished off her opponents in one move or less. The most we’ve ever seen her fight was against Shin the gaiden but she was a pre-genin then.
