We all like anime. If we didn't we wouldn't be on the anime thread, much less this site. But we all know that anime isn't perfect. So now I would like to know, What do you hate most about anime?

Nakama powerups. Once or twice is fine, but it's been done to death honestly. That, and when male protagonists (*cough* Ichigo *cough*) are completely clueless when it comes to girls and act like dumbasses.

When anime obviously rips off other anime, ass pulls, and unnecessary main character buffs (the main character is supposed to be strong, possibly even the strongest, but not super op or immortal.)

Forgot about this, but sometimes (very very rarely) an anime has a decent filler.

Dragon Ball series has good filler. Naruto, DBZ, Bleach? Eh not really

I will admit, I really really enjoyed Kakashi ANBU tho. Nostalgia kicked me in the balls at the end~ And the Fullbring Arc wasn't that bad in retrospect, albeit it was slow as hell. As for DBZ, anyone else think that Piccolo and Goku learning how to drive was pretty funny? :P

Well Naruto had that Kakashi filler, but that was about it (even though it technically didn't appear in the manga it was still canon information, do we still call that a filler?)

Extended, redundant flashbacks and modified content (such as Gato's head being decapitated in the manga, but him only sliced in the anime).

-Fillers (no exceptions.)
-Episodes with zero plot progression despite taking place in the middle of an arc
- Deus ex machina
-Unecessary discrepancies from the manga
- Shitty endings (see Psycho Pass)
- Overhyped/overrated anime (more a problem with fans)
- The majority of weaboo songs. Can't stand them. Not my thing. I look down on you if you post them in the Listening to thread as well.
- Drawn out scenes for the sake of it. I.e DBZ action scenes (even though I love the anime they aren't necessary) + Naruto's "war"
- Majority of shonen cast being useless, and subsequently shelved, in favor of the main character (Bleach, Naruto)

Could probably think of more if I tried

Timeskips, especially if they are ****ing long and suddenly happen out of nowhere. Just reading a manga where exactly this happens. Right in the middle of a giant battle, then next chapter, "7 years later".... WTF

Fillers. Usually don't care for them 98 percent of the time no matter what they are bar DBZ filler due ti a unique case

Flashbacks are only bad when the author does a shit job with them.

When good series turn bad, because the original story was not planned to be developed that far, and the mangaka just falls onto relying on repetetive cycles of events.

Censorship especially those ungodly rays of light covering the promised land (nipples) and some edgy shows that have that blackness over the smallest of things like a bandaid or a cigarette Example: Nearly every ecchi or edgy shit anime aired before nighttime hours.

Radical mood and tone shifts in just an episode or two. That's mostly caused by a series not knowing what it wants to be. Example: Otogi Zoshi, Mardock Scramble.

Dark edgy shit being dark and edgy shit for it's own sake. Example:Tokyo Ghoul, Pupa, Akame ga Kill

I don't like anime that have unnecessary power ups and main characters that lose too much.

I hate the opening songs, if it lasts for more than 30 seconds then its overkill, I have yet to find a opening song of any anime that I find enjoyable

that's interesting, I find a lot of opening songs quite enjoyable. Your taste must be very unique.

What I hate about anime is comedic reliefs which make no sense or are not even funny at all + that every male character is a pervert when "accidents" happen.

- How sometimes they have no sense of space/time, when it's just obvious this character was a lot closer to that one just a frame ago, for example, or when time can pass abnormally slowly if plot needs it.

- Overused Nakama power, as already said.

- Bad pacing

- When anything bad is frequently prevented of happening by a miracle or a hero

- This is something minor, but, on some animes, after certain arcs the main characters say to the 'arc characters' something like "we'll meet again"; those characters are never seen again.

I beg to differ, openings actual get me into watching a lot of anime, I hate half-assed openings or dull/depressing openings. Now I will say that I don't think it's necessary to change the opening every single season. That's just my opinion. Also by 30 second openings I assume you're probably referencing to the dub openings of like Yu-Gi-Oh or One Piece, I find those really enjoyable, they use to get me pumped to watch the show when I was growing up.

Main characters that are really ****ing stupid or are wimps or both yet still get all the ladies.
