    Favorite Anime

Decided this'll be my first thread Woohoo!
    Anyways, what's your favorite anime?
Mines would have to be Samurai Champloo

Strong will can stir the heart, but a will too strong can cut off the heart's visibility. The sorrow of a man bereaved of his family turns into hate, which eventually metamorphosises into the intent to kill. The man's finger reaches for the trigger. Sin changes people. Sin begets sin, but I, I still want to believe. I still want to believe in the heart. The heart that feels the sin.

Out of all my favourites, it would have to be YuYu Hakusho, HunterXHunter and Darker than Black ^_^

I recently re-watched YuYu Hakusho. It was an amazing and nostalgic experience.
As for HunterxHunter I've only seen about 32 episodes, and it's pretty good so far
Never seen Darker Than Black though.

    This is a tough one. I'd have to say Dragon Ball (Z), for it's iconic look and I'm able to re-watch it religiously;
but if I was going for a more critical look I would have to pick Yu Yu Hakusho.

i don't really have a favorite, nor have i watched much recent anime but these have re-watchability.

the monogatari series, katangatari, kara no kyoukai, sakurasou no pet na kanojo, ttgl, and samurai champloo are ones that i can list off the top of my head. there aren't much more though.

This is a very hard decision it's like asking a parent to choose which one of their children they love more.

Well, for anime, I ...Really love Toriko, both Personas (3 and 4), and really most Shounen jump anime
But, I think, Dragon ball/DBZ holds closest to my heart. It's nostalgia , a story of a Hero who earned everything, and nothing was given, martial arts, and his oblivious comedic antics just made my 10/10

Wow, i'm surprised that so many people put HunterxHunter (2011) as one of their favorites.
I've only been through about 32 episodes so I can't really judge it myself.
When would you say it starts getting really interesting?

Um... It really depends. Do you mean favorite series that has an anime, or favorite anime series/adaption? If it is the former then I choose Medaka Box. Not only is Medaka Box a great Satire on the Shonen genre, but it is also written by the genius Nisio Isin. If it is the latter then I will probably choose Hunter X Hunter (2011). It is a pretty faithful adaption of an amazing manga.

Agreed. You have anime that you love through the moment itself, and then there is anime you have to digest slowly and let the grandeur get to you afterwards. The anime that had the most influence on my youth, was probably Clannad After Story. Moving beyond my teens, I enjoyed NANA immensely. Outside the slice of life genre though, probably Detective Conan. Technically, quality-wise, I'd have to throw out series like Shingeki no Kyoujin and Monster. And Great Teacher Onizuka for manga. A one-shot everyone should read is "Our Happy Hours" and a movie everyone should watch, is Perfect Blue. As for OVA series, I would say Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal is the best one.

One Piece is definitely a no.1 always but i think Yuri On Ice has set the game apart in 2016.
